Updating the claim status and decision
As the claim progresses, you will need to track the claim status and the claim decision. The Claim Status options include:
- Draft – This status is assigned when the claim is lodged via an online lodgement form. Payments cannot be raised against claims with this status.
- Open
- Closed - Payments cannot be raised against claims with this status.
- Reopen
- Cancelled - Payments cannot be raised against claims with this status.
Note: There is a secondary reason list to capture the detail for selecting the claim status.
The Claim Decision options include:
- Pending
- Approved
- Declined
- Partial Declined
- Withdrawn
- Unsure
Update claim status
- Open the Claim Details screen.
- In the Claim Summary, select the arrow button
next to Claim Status.
- Select Change Reason to update the Open status of the claim.
Update claim decision
- Open the Claim Details screen.
- In the Claim Summary, select the arrow button
next to Claim Decision.
- Select Decision type from the menu.
- A pop-up window will display to confirm the decision change and Reason for Decision.
- Click the Decision button to confirm.
