Updating the claim status and decision

As the claim progresses, you will need to track the claim status and the claim decision. The Claim Status options include: 

  • Draft  This status is assigned when the claim is lodged via an online lodgement form. Payments cannot be raised against claims with this status. 
  • Open 
  • Closed - Payments cannot be raised against claims with this status. 
  • Reopen 
  • Cancelled - Payments cannot be raised against claims with this status. 

Note: There is a secondary reason list to capture the detail for selecting the claim status. 


The Claim Decision options include: 

  • Pending  
  • Approved 
  • Declined 
  • Partial Declined  
  • Withdrawn
  • Unsure  
Note: There is a secondary reason list to capture the detail for selecting the claim decision. You will receive a warning for raising a payment against claims with a claim decision other than ‘Approved’. 

Update claim status

  • Open the Claim Details screen.
  • In the Claim Summary, select the arrow button  next to Claim Status.
  • Select Change Reason to update the Open status of the claim.

Update claim decision

  • Open the Claim Details screen.
  • In the Claim Summary, select the arrow button  next to Claim Decision.
  • Select Decision type from the menu.
  • A pop-up window will display to confirm the decision change and Reason for Decision.
  • Click the Decision button to confirm.
