To improve our system's security and assist with authenticating the users of our system, we have brought in two-factor authentication. This will mean that when you log in to Wilbur, you will be required to enter your password as well as an authentication app code. Two-factor authentication may be required for your user profile or it could be an opt-in feature, this is determined by the Insurers that you have access to.
Setup Two-factor Authentication
- You will see your name in the top right-hand corner, click this and a drop-down menu will display.
- Select ‘Openid Profile’ from the available options
- From the left-hand side menu select ‘Two-factor auth’
- Click the ‘Authentication app’ button
-
If you do not have an authentication app on your mobile device (e.g. Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, Twilio Authy and 1password) then you will need to download it:
-
On your mobile device, open the application store
Note: for Android, this is called the “Google Play Store” and for iOS, this is called the “App Store” -
Depending on your preference or device, search for “Microsoft Authenticator” or “Google Authenticator”
Note: Windows phones/devices are only able to download and use the “Microsoft Authenticator” Application - Download the selected application, ensuring it is one of these two applications:
-
On your mobile device, open the application store
Microsoft Authenticator | Google Authenticator |
- Open the newly installed application and follow the steps on the screen to set up your account (if applicable).
- Open the authentication application on your mobile device and press the ‘+’ button to add a new login to your authentication profile

-
You can manually enter the “2FA KEY” or use your mobile device’s camera to scan the QR code.
Note: If you are manually entering the “2FA KEY” then you will also be asked to give the account a “Name”, we recommend “Wilbur”. You can edit this at a later date.
